ABOUT
The CHER Lab is dedicated to improving children’s health, reducing adult chronic disease risk, and reducing disparities in physical and mental health outcomes that disproportionately impact minoritized populations. The activities of the CHER Lab include justice-oriented research and advocacy (1) to improve community and systemic conditions for minoritized populations; (2) to empower parents and children to engage in healthful behaviors; and (3) to facilitate adolescents being masters of their health. These activities are community-informed, community-driven and done in partnership with community leaders and members through community based participatory research, community-driven programming, and community outreach and advocacy.
